Virtual Site Tour is a web site that specializes in the design of web site tours and web site simulations that are created to help viewers learn more about a web site in a fast, fun, new and easy way. Our Virtual Site Tours can be hosted by us and/or we can provide your site tour files so you can also host you very own site tour. Virtual Site Tour came about after much thought and hard work, wherein we have honed the art of creating virtual site tours to a fine art. We based out of Santa Monica, California and first posted our web site in January of 2007. Virtual Site Tours was designed by Real Estate Demos. The motto of Real Estate Demos is Putting Your Property On Tour. Virtual Site Tour's motto is Putting Your Site On Tour. We can create a beautiful web site simulation of your web site, which can better enable your viewers to understand the breadth and/or unique qualities about your web site. Contact
Virtual Site Tour has an easy to use contact form, which will format the information you provide to us and deliver to our server as a plain text email. Rather than posting our email address, this method decreases the amount of spam that we receive, based on "Spam Bots" picking up our email address and delivering to one or more spam portals. If you have us design a web site or a site tour for you, we can create a similar contact for you. Examples

What is a site tour? A site tour can be defined as a graphical presentation of a web site that is simulated on a computer or computer network and displayed on a computer monitor. We will use the terms "site tour" & "site tours" and "site simulation" & "site simulations" interchangeably throughout our site. Although site tour often refers to a virtual tour of a home, property or location, our definition of site tour is focused on web site or site simulations. Who needs a site tour? Any web site designer who has a web site that is either large, complex or not easily understood from the Home Page, as to the depth, complexity and unique characteristics of the web site. A site tour can greatly assist the new viewer of the site to gain a much fast and much more thorough understanding of the web site they are visiting. Thus, a site tour or site simulation can inform the viewer about the contents of a web site and convey key aspects about the web site, such as navigation, products, services and other key features that a web site contains. When can Virtual Site Tour have my web site’s tour available? Once we have received payment for your site tour and have all of the necessary information, we can have your site tour posted for public viewing within a minimum of one business day and no longer than five business days. What do I need to provide to Virtual Site Tour to complete my web site’s virtual tour? You will need to provide either a script for Virtual Site Tour to read during your site tour or an MP3 audio file to be played during your site tour. The audio file should be no longer than six minutes, although it should really be four minutes or less to optimize the file size of your site tour. A longer site tour can lead to a viewer leaving a site tour before it is completed. As well, larger file sizes take longer to download and you can lose viewers who have slower connections and can’t wait or don’t want to wait for your site tour to be downloaded. Upon verification of your payment, we will contact you within 24 hours by email and/or phone and provide you with instructions on how to upload the required files and/or information to us. This also includes the page order that you would like for us to tour your site, i.e., home page followed by the 'products' page, followed by the 'services' page, followed by the 'contact' page and so on. What multimedia formats can my site tour be rendered in? Our first choice is the FLV (Flash Video) format, as it comes with easy to use controls to stop, fast forward, rewind, pause and play the site tour, as well as audio controls to increase, decrease or mute the volume. As well, FLV utilizes the Flash Player and more computers already have the Flash Player installed than any other multimedia player. Our second choice is the QuickTime player. The QuickTime player renders the smoothest virtual site tour file and provides the viewer with the opportunity to stop, pause, go forward and back through the movie, as well as increasing, decreasing and muting the volume. However, not as many users have QuickTime installed on their computer, as do Flash Player. For this reason, the FLV format is our first choice. Where will my site tour be displayed? Your web site tour can be displayed within virtualsitetour.com and on your own web site. Please see our different pricing packages by clicking on the Pricing tab on this page. Can Virtual Site Tour make my site tour files available for download? Yes. However, you will need to have a decompression software program installed on your computer that will enable you to decompress the downloadable file, which will either be downloadable as an executable .exe file for PC users or a file for Apple users to download, such as a .sit or Tar file.
